Trajan Decius, 249-251. Antoninianus (Silver, 23 mm, 3.81 g, 6 h), Rome, summer 251. IMP CAE TRA DECIVS AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Trajan Decius to right, seen from behind. Rev. VICTORIA GERMANICA Trajan Decius on horseback left, rising his right hand in salute and holding long scepter in his left, preceded by Victory hurrying left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm over her left shoulder. Cohen 122. Eauze 905. RIC -, cf. 43 (differing obverse legend). Very rare. Minor roughness and struck from somewhat worn dies and with very light deposits, otherwise, about very fine.

From the Joseph Markowitz Collection (1897-1981), brought to Israel in 1949 and kept in the family ever since.
